cox had been actively working in association with watchtower for 33 years prior, and had been assigned at the time by watchtower to the portland, maine congregation of jehovahs witnesses.

in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.
he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.

In 1983, Raymond Franz, a former member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses and the nephew of former President Frederick W. Franz, wrote a book called Crisis of Conscience.
The echoes of the NWT does not mention the name of any translator and is presented as the result of the anonymous work of the "New World Translation Committee" (Committee of the New World Translation). In fact, members of this committee were Frederick W. Franz, Nathan H. Knorr, Albert Schroeder, Milton Henschel and George D. Bargains. Regarding Fredrick W. Franz, Raymond says that "it was the only one with enough knowledge of the biblical languages ??to attempt a translation of this class. Had studied Greek for two years at the University of Cincinnati, but Hebrew study it by itself (self-taught)"
Interestingly, Dr. Walter Martin says that in a test Fiscal in Scotland November 24, 1954 between Walsh and Latham, "Fredrick W. Franz admitted under oath that he could not translate the Hebrew Genesis 2:4" (a verse that any first-year student at Hebrew Theological Seminary in a rotting translate)
After reviewing the data, Dr. Martin concluded that the Committee on Bible Translation New World deserves no respect because "there was no recognized qualifications reputed translator exegesis or translation in Greek or Hebrew"

August 20, 1940: Author Cox was arrested and charged with the murder of Deputy Sheriff Dean Pray. Cox had been actively working in association with Watchtower for 33 years prior, and had been assigned at the time by Watchtower to the Portland, Maine congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Cox carried credentials issued by Watchtower’s President, J. F. Rutherford. A few weeks prior to the killing of officer Pray, Cox had purchased a revolver to carry in the book-bag he carried in his public ministry. This is the firearm Cox used in the killing of officer Pray. Cox claimed self-defense. Attorney Hayden Covington was assigned by Watchtower as defense counsel.[6] Cox was convicted of murder and appeal was denied.

Mexico/Malawi $$$$$?
by OUTLAW inanyone who was a dub many years ago remembers people dying in malawi for the wbts.in malawi,dubs were encouraged not to have anything to do with the government and many were murdered..in mexico,it was profitable for wbts to encourage the people to do what the people in malawi were not allowed to.
i have 2 questions: was there a monatary or political gain in it for wbts?.if those people didn`t die for profit of some sort for wbts,what did they die for?.for one,i know dead dubs sell magazines,the profits from that probably helped wbts acquire property in mexico...outlaw
